Week 5 of 11 Home Meet

Last week we finished our first block of training with a easier workout week. We also had our first competition. This week we’ll pick up the training and get started on another 4 week training block. We’ll also host our first meet at Ohlson Mtn on Friday.

This week is the first week of after school practices. Meet at 4 on the upper field. Get checked in, run 2 laps on the trails, and take a spot on the field. The things you need for the workout should be kept at your spot on the field. We need to stay diligent about masks and distancing, we want to be able to keep running cross country.

The meet at Seward was amazing. All of you ran extremely well. It was the first meet of the year and for many of you the first time to race the 5k. There were some lessons learned, we’ll come to the next meet smarter and stronger.

The meet this Friday is at Ohlson Mtn trails. Girls race at 3:30, boys at 4:15. It will be another Seward — Homer Dual. Parents, if you are able to volunteer to help with the meet please contact coach Bob, call or text 980-0459.
