Next, let’s make sure we all get to enjoy these last few weeks of our season. The school nurse has some ideas to prevent being a close contact:

  • If they are 18 or older they can receive, Johnson and Johnson vaccine and be full vaccinated in 2 wks after this vaccine.
  • If they are 16 or 17 they can start the Pfizer vaccine series which would be great, but they will not be fully vaccinated for this sports season
  • They could only socialize with their varsity team mates in person and limit that to practice and all varsity players could make this commitment.
  • They can make every attempt to not be a contact in a classroom by being 6 ft away from everyone except their respective varsity or JV team mates.
  • They can eat 6 ft from their friends at school.
  • They can shrink their in person pod of to their families.
  • It is not just having a small pod but also all the people in the pod having limited in person contacts.
